Crossed Roller Bearings

Crossed roller bearings consist of an outer ring, an inner ring, multiple rollers and spacers. The rollers are located between the inner and outer rings, and spacers are placed between the rollers to prevent them from rubbing against each other, thereby reducing the torque resistance to rotation. Shangyin crossed roller bearings have six types, including split outer ring type (CRBA), split inner ring type (CRBB), high rigidity type (CRBC), split outer ring with mounting holes (CRBD), high Rigid with mounting holes (CRBE) and custom (CRBX).

Crossed-roller bearings are bearings for high-precision applications whose dimensions conform to ISO dimension series 18 as per DIN 616. Due to the X arrangement of the cylindrical rollers, these bearings can support axial forces from both directions as well as radial forces, tilting moment loads and any combination of loads by means of a single bearing position. As a result, designs involving two bearing positions can be reduced to a single bearing position. Crossed roller bearings are very rigid, have high running accuracy and are supplied with normal clearance, low clearance or preload. The bearing outer rings are easily fixed to the adjacent construction using clamping rings.

AUB designs and manufactures a wide range of crossed roller bearings that can accommodate radial, thrust and moment loads simultaneously. The rollers of these compact bearings cross at right angles between the inner and outer rings.

  • High rotation accuracy, widely used in machine tools, industrial robots and medical equipment.
  • Roller guide options include cage or separator and full complement designs. Both cage and separator types provide a low coefficient of friction for high speed rotation. Full complement bearings handle heavy loads at low speeds.
  • Available in sealed and open designs. Sealed bearings feature synthetic rubber seals to keep out dust, dirt and grease.

3 Types of Cross Roller Bearings

  • Full-complement cross roller bearings: designed to have a high load capacity and are compact. These are typically the most commonly used type of cross roller bearings.
  • Inner-ring split cross roller bearings: offer improved stability and reduced internal clearance. Designed for applications that require a high level of accuracy
  • Outer-ring split cross roller bearings: best for applications that require easy mounting and dismounting

The choice of cross roller bearing is dependent on the design requirements of the equipment and and the specific application.

Mounting Hole

  • Mounting Hole Type High rigidity crossed roller bearings have mounting holes on the inner and outer rings for easy installation.
  • The non-separable design integrates the inner and outer rings into one structure with high rigidity and precision.
  • Shaft diameter range from 10 to 90 mm.

High Rigidity

The high rigidity crossed roller bearing adopts a solid one-piece structure with high precision.

  • The non-separable design integrates the inner and outer rings into one structure with high rigidity.
  • Separator between cylindrical rollers ensures smooth rotation, suitable for high speed.
  •  Shaft diameters ranging from 20 to 300 mm.

Standard

Standard crossed roller bearings have a two-piece outer ring that is bolted together to prevent separation during shipping and installation.

  • Shaft diameters ranging from 30 to 250 mm.
  • Cage and full complement types available.
  • CRB and CRBC are available with shaft diameters up to 800 mm.

Slim

Ultra-thin crossed roller bearings have a smaller outer diameter and narrower width compared to the inner diameter.

  • Shaft diameters ranging from 50 to 200 mm.
  • Cage, separator and full roller types available.

ultra Thin

Ultra-thin crossed roller bearings have an extremely compact design, measuring 5.5 mm high and 5 mm wide.

  • Separators between cylindrical rollers provide smooth rotation.
  • Lightweight and compact, which can meet the requirements of machine miniaturization and light weight.
  • Shaft diameter range from 20 to 50mm.
